Taste and Works is a group that meets once each month. Our meetings are on the second Monday of each month at 11:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall at the LCCC church building. Before the pandemic we were meeting at Golden Corral in a private room.

It is a small group that is mostly retired people that don’t go out at night yet but want to enjoy each other's company, contribute to organizations and people that further God's kingdom. We each bring our own sack lunches and a drink. (TASTE) We talk about our projects that include funds for various outreach and benevolence efforts such as Gospel Rescue Mission, Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, World Christian Broadcasting, MacArthur School help and others as the opportunity arises.(WORKS)

In keeping with the unified topic plan, we will discuss the Sunday sermons as our devotional.

Everyone is welcome.

WHERE YOUR MISSIONS DOLLARS GO

Your support of students at African Christian College continues to change lives! After graduating 26 of our students in December 2021, our Academic Team is hard at work designing a new 4-year curriculum. Though no students are on campus right now, preparations are being made to welcome new students next year.

The laptops you provide will enable another cohort of motivated students to launch their education. Even now, your generosity is allowing us to update some of our academic staff's laptops. Thank YOU for being a partner in God's work in Africa!

And . . . there's exciting growth ahead! African Christian College will reopen as Ukwazi International Christian University in 2023, ready to welcome students who want to earn a Theology degree with additional coursework in leadership, conflict resolution, and entrepreneurship. Very soon we plan to add Agriculture and Psychology programs to incoming students! God is at work!

Dr. Jan Meyer

Development Director

SECOND BACK TO THE BIBLE CAMPAIGN

 Dear Brethren,

We're thankful to God for our recent effort with regards to hosting our second Back to the Bible campaign. Thank you so very much for your prayers and financial support that made this meeting to be successful. Our students at the Bible for Souls Evangelism Institute and members of the church were a great help in carrying God's plan of salvation to the lost. Please see below our results.

Thirteen (13) precious souls obeyed Christ into the watery grave during house to house evangelism.

During this campaign, two individuals were restored. Their restoration was such a joy for us to see them getting back in fellowship with God and us once again. These two persons that were restored were very grateful for reaching them as well as encouraging them to ask for forgiveness.

More than three and fifty (350) persons were given Christian tracts that we met in the streets and along the way as we travel to homes to teach the Bible.

We visited one hundred thirty homes during this Back to the Bible Campaign. Also, three hundred seventy-six individuals were taught the Bible.

We have setup a new convert class to serve our new members in Christ. Pray that they will be committed to the cause of Christ. Plans are in the making for these new Christians to enroll into the WBS Bible courses for them to know more about God, Christ, Holy Spirit and his church.

Brethren, thanks once again for your prayers and financial blessings that are assisting us in this Liberian work. We appreciate very much for you sending us. It is our prayer for this update regarding our recent campaign to find you all in good health. May God continue to have mercy upon each one of us in his kingdom.

In Christian love,

By Example Youth Missions (BEYM) is a response to God’s call to change the future of an entire nation in the middle of Europe. A mission that started over a decade ago, as a remarkable result of God’s hand moving in Ukraine. Bibles were introduced into the Ukrainian Schools as teaching materials to build a stronger moral ethic for the country. Eastern European Mission (EEM) was then invited to join the Ukranian National Youth Camp Organization in 2006, to bring the same Bibles to the camps, along with volunteers to teach the character traits God wants us all to live by. By Example Youth Missions is fulfilling the ongoing mission to spread the Gospel and plant the seeds of salvation in nations hungry for the truth.

BEYM is a volunteer-led, nonprofit organization dedicated to continuing the mission of teaching God’s word through principles for the daily lives of children in a fun, relaxed camp environment. Indeed, this is yet another testament to God’s faithfulness and grace—and another opportunity to show His transformative love to youth who are in need of hope and spiritual awakening.

In 2017, EEM passed the baton to the camp team leaders, who formed BEYM, a nonprofit organization dedicated to continuing the mission of teaching God’s word and principles in the daily lives of children in a fun, relaxed camp environment. Indeed, this is yet another testament to God’s faithfulness and grace—and another opportunity to show His transformative love to youth who are in need of hope and spiritual awakening.
